How we handle your information
Last updated October 15, 2026
Who we are
ItalianToBe is a trading name of La Vita Verace LLC, which operates from Naples, Italy. We are a consulting service, not a law firm. This notice explains what we collect when you use italiantobe.com and app.italiantobe.com, why we collect it, and the choices you have. Questions go to info@italiantobe.com.
What we collect
- Your name and email address, when you start an assessment, buy something, ask for a quote, or request the free guide.
- Your answers about your family line: relatives who were born in Italy, dates and countries of birth, marriage and naturalization, and similar facts. The questionnaire does not ask for anyone's name.
- Documents you upload for Document Analysis or a DIY package. These are usually civil records such as birth, marriage and death certificates, naturalization papers, apostilles and translations. They can contain full names, dates and places of birth, parents' names, and record or ID numbers about you and your relatives, including people who have died.
- Messages you send us, and details you give when you book a call or ask for a quote.
- Payment details. Payments are handled by Stripe. We never see or store your card number. We keep a record of what was paid, when, and for which service.
- Technical information: the pages you visit, your device and browser, your approximate location (country) from your connection, and which ad or link brought you here.
How we use it
- To work out your assessment and show you your result.
- To prepare your Citizenship Playbook, review your documents, and deliver what you bought.
- To email you your result link and receipts, and to answer your questions.
- To send up to four reminders over about a month if you started an assessment and did not finish. Every reminder has a link that stops them.
- To send our newsletter, only if you ticked the box or signed up for the free guide. You can unsubscribe at any time.
- To measure which ads and pages work, so we can improve them, and to keep the service secure and prevent fraud.
- To keep the records the law requires, such as accounting records.
Your documents
We treat uploaded documents as sensitive. They are stored in a private storage area that is not open to the public, and they are opened only through short-lived secure links. Only our team and the licensed attorney who reviews and signs off on your document analysis can see them.
We use your documents only to deliver the service you paid for. We do not sell them, we do not use them for advertising, and we do not use them for anything unrelated to your case.
Please upload documents only for yourself and your own family line, and only if you are entitled to share them. You can ask us to delete your documents at any time by emailing info@italiantobe.com. We will do so unless the law requires us to keep a record.
Who else sees your information
We do not sell your personal information. We share it only with the services that help us run ItalianToBe, and only what each one needs:
- Stripe, to take payments.
- Our hosting and database providers, which store your assessment, account details and uploaded documents on our behalf.
- Our email delivery provider, to send you messages.
- A scheduling service, if you book a call.
- The partner attorney who reviews documents, and who handles court cases if you choose to engage them.
- Google and Meta advertising and analytics tools, which receive information about your visit and, when you buy, that a purchase happened. They do not receive your family answers or your documents.
- Authorities or advisers, if the law requires it or to protect our legal rights.
Cookies and ad measurement
We use cookies and similar technology from Google and Meta to count visits, to see which ads lead to a purchase, and to show our ads to people who may be interested. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings, and you can manage ad personalization in your Google and Meta account settings. The service still works if you do.
How long we keep it
We keep your assessment and your account details for as long as you may still need your result, and your documents until your case is complete, then delete them or ask you whether to keep them. Payment and accounting records are kept for as long as the law requires. You can ask us to delete your information sooner at any time.
Your choices and rights
Email info@italiantobe.com and we will reply within 30 days. We may need to confirm it is really you before we share or delete anything.
- Ask what we hold about you, and get a copy.
- Ask us to correct it, or to delete it.
- Stop reminders and marketing emails with the link in any email, or by writing to us.
- If you are in the European Union, the United Kingdom, or California, you have further rights under local law, including objecting to certain uses and complaining to your data protection authority.
Where your data goes
ItalianToBe is run from Italy and the United States, and our providers may store and process information in other countries, including the United States and the European Union. We choose providers that protect information to a high standard.
Security
We use encrypted connections, private storage for documents, and access controls. No system is perfectly secure, so please share only what is needed and tell us right away if you think your information was exposed.

Our services are for adults. We do not knowingly collect information from anyone under 18, except what an adult chooses to tell us about their own family line.
